Carmit Bachar

Honorary Board Member

Carmit Bachar is the sultry voiced, red-haired beauty known as one of the original members of the multi-platinum, Grammy nominated, recording group The Pussycat Dolls, who rose to international fame as an overnight pop sensation with chart-topping hit singles including “Don’t Cha,” “Buttons,” and “StickWitU.” With the Dolls as a platform, Carmit has since moved on to establish her career as solo artist, using her extensive background in performing arts to build a name of her own.

As a professional freelance dancer and choreographer, you can find Carmit getting down with her bad self in the music videos of Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Macy Gray,  Jennifer Lopez, Aaliyah and No Doubt. She has also toured and performed live with artists including  JanetJackson, Gwen Stefani, Beyonce and Ricky Martin as the “La Vida Loca Girl”.

An entrepreneur in her own right, Carmit has used her passion for inspiring creativity and self-expression to build herself an empire of the arts. In 2001, she began co-creating and producing The Zodiac Show with photographer and friendLee Cherry. This underground rock ‘n’ roll version of Cirque Du Soleil attracted an eclectic group of singers, dancers, choreographers, musicians, and performing artists from all around to come together in one place with the absolute freedom to entertain. Not only does Carmit create and produce this spectacular event, but she has also taken the stage as a performer in the show.

While making her mark in the arts, Carmit is also recognized as an ambassador for Operation Smile, a medical charity that provides cleft lip and palate repair surgeries to children worldwide. Inspired by her own experience of being born with the condition, she has started her own charity, Project Smile With Me, in hopes to help build self-esteem and inspire the imaginations of these children through the arts and activities. “Creative stimulation can build imagination, which results in freedom and full expression.”

“I am coming out as an individual. I hope that my fans and the public get to know me as the creative artist I am and all the other things I have to offer.” Her latest projects include joining forces with DJ/Producer Sammy Jay under the name LadyStation, a hot new-wave electro-pop duo with a feature on a recent release with DJ Paul Thomas called Motivation (avail on Beatport, iTunes, Amazon and Spotify) , writing her own column for Face On, a UK fashion magazine, creating a merchandise line, and getting ready to release her E-book, “Be The Star”, co-written with Christel Hughes.  More information on these projects soon!
